Introduction
The reason why it’s important to use communication in every type of business is that it’s vital that the company is able to understand what the majority of their customers want, so they are able to persuade their customers as well as they need to communicate with all the sources that help them to provide the things that the customers need. Stakeholders are a group or an organization that’s interested in the business. All stakeholders have different interests, for instance, customers want good quality food for a cheaper price for organizations like Tesco. My aim is to understand communication models, system and process
1.1. Analyze the communication needs of internal and external stakeholders
Internal stakeholders are a group of people or individuals that work in the business for example employees. External stakeholders are a group outside a business, however, they still get affected by the decisions the business makes like customers. Stakeholders include people like owners, workers, managers, customers, suppliers, employees, pressure groups, local and national communities, government, trade unions, and employee associations.
1.2. Analyze the different communication models that support the administration
There are three different types of communication, the first one is written communication, the second one is face to face communication and the third one is body language. It’s important that these 3 different types of communication are used. For instance, if a person is working at a GP Surgery and they sent an email that has bad grammar and bad punctuation then that will make the practice look bad as other businesses will think that the employees at the GP Surgery are well educated. When it comes to the communication process it includes a person that sends the information and a person that receives the information. (Web 1)
1.3. Evaluate the effectiveness of different communication systems
When it comes to working in a business there are different ways of communicating than talking to each other. For instance, at the place I work, there a 3 whiteboards, the first one is the staff Rota the second one has the information about who’s on duty, including the Drs and on the third white there’s information about the protocols as well as the safety. This is one way of effective communication as the staff can see what they need on the 3 whiteboards. Another way we communicate is by sending tasks or screen messages through. For example, if I need to tell something to one of my colleagues and they are not on work on the day then I can send a task and they can read it when they log on to EMIS Web. (Web 2)
1.4. The factors that affect the choice of communication media
Every company has its own aims and objectives, for instance, some businesses will create things that everyone can use like an IPad and some companies will create things that only some people can use like Nail Polish for girls, more variety of watches for boys. This affects the choice of communication media because every business has their own target market like New Look’s target are females, so men will not like to go into New Look, this means this company does not have many customers and Blue inc’s target is male which also means that they don’t have many customers, as well as they, only target one gender but TK Maxx has a huge advantage as they target both male and female including age as well. Every type of person will be able to find something from there. Another thing that makes TK Maxx better is the price and quality compared to the other 2 businesses. (Web 3)………………..
