According to the scenario, as a Health Promotion Executive for Hackney Council, I need to discuss with the community about the effects of socio-economic influences on health and inequalities in health. The socio-economic factors that affect the health and inequalities in health are given as follows:
According to the scenario, the income level of the community people of the Hackney Council is very low. This disposable income is considered as the key affecting socio-economic factors that influence the health of community people of Hackney Council(Nutbeam et al.,2016). Moreover, because of this disposable income people of Hackney council are not able to maintain their good health. Low income or disposable income also affect health because of lack of proper food or diet that lead to different health problems for the people of Hackney council.
Most of the people of Hackney council are unemployed that is a serious socio-economic factor that affects their health. Rongen et al. (2015) stated that the unemployment problem increases different problems to get proper nutrition for them. In the medical terms, lack of quality or nutrition food for the people is the main cause of the health issues which affect the body and health of the community people of Hackney council.
According to the scenario, the lifestyle of the people of Hackney council is not so good. Their lifestyle is very complicated, sometimes people involved with the high level of smoking and drinking that is not so good for the health of Hackney people (Lloyd-Jones et al., 2016). This type of lifestyle mainly creates because of a lack of proper education as well as the lack of parents’ proper monitoring.
According to Nutbeam et al. (2016), the physical environment has a great impact on influencing health and inequalities in health. The quality of air and water, workplace conditions, the safety of roads and other issues contribute to proper and good health if it is maintained correctly. Hackney council’s people’s health is also affected because of this physical environment………….
