Task 1:
LO1 Understand the factors that drive change in health and social care services
1.1Â Â Explain the key factors that drive change in health and social care services
New service providing methods to people has a great influence on health and social care organizations which are undergoing a remarkable change. Technology, public spending, partnership formation are some important factors that have an impact on health and social care services. Positive change in an organization is very much needed otherwise it will adversely affect health and care service. This adverse effect can cause failure and ultimately lead to the collapse of the organization (Parker, 2017). If it can be understood about driving factors those changes in health and social care services will be a positive reflection on the organization. This will help to improve the service quality of health and care services.
A change in health and care service will evaluate in this research and will identify some important factors to changes. It will also find out the ways of monitoring these changes to be beneficial to the health and care service (Burke and Friedman, 2010). Some important driving factors that change in health and social care service are the followings:
Demographic and cultural
People are the main element in health and social care services. People are sensitive and thus transformation affects people very much. The presence of some potential stimuli contributes to change those forces to drive in an unstoppable mode. The factors normally generate from internal stimuli to changes in organizations (Burke and Friedman, 2010).
Political and legal
Legislation has a consequential influence on health and social care. The government tries to find out the way to advance health and social care services. So government legislations are emerging continuously. The government is taking many initiatives to observe that direct health standards and control service providers. Health and Safety at Work Act in 1974 is such an example that was initiated to inhibit the rising number of accidents in service provision (Aschengra and Seage, 2013).
The aim of this act is to protect people receiving health and social care services without harm. The service providers should be more assiduous for providing services by ensuring safety. The legislation imposed by the government sets the standards so that employment, public funding, and all health services provide quality care to everyone. Formulation of the NHS Commissioning Board and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are some of the legislative changes which influenced health and care (Levin et al., 2017)…………………..
