The functions of different organizations depend on their type and business environment. Per these two factors, the organizational structures of the organizations and the functions of different stakeholders in that revolve. There cannot be dissonance between the organization structure, business type, and business environment; and if there is dissonance, the organizational structure is bound to change willy-nilly. The extant political, legal, social, and societal factors are mound and modify the business activities in organizations. As per the case study, two organizations have been selected.

Water Aid is a not-for-profit organization that operates in different countries like the United States, the UK, Japan, and 27 other countries. It works in partnership with the local agencies in these countries. The motto of the organization is to provide humanity with safe, clean, and hygiene water. It had earned around 55.8 pounds in 2014 and spent 54 million pounds.
It also has offices in India, Zambia, and Bangladesh. Barbara Frost is the Chief Executive of the organization. Its purpose is to provide people across the world with safe and clean water.
Liability and debt of Water Aid: Water Aid being a charitable organization, its main liability is to provide the distressed people with efficient and hygiene water supply. It has no debts as such as the organization operates on humanitarian grounds.
Waitrose is a supermarket chain of the John Lewis Partnership. The organization operates in the UK. It is a subsidiary of the John Lewis Partnership which is a partnership organization. It is also the largest employer in the retailer market. It was founded in 1904 and currently owns around 350 shops.
The purpose of the organization is to provide the customers with the best quality foods, beverages, and other products at an affordable price. It also aims at spreading its business in Wales and Ireland. Sir Charlie Mayfield is the executive chairman of the organization, the John Lewis partnership. Rob Collins is the managing director of Waitrose. Its aims are to increase the advantage of the stakeholders, to have sustainable growth, and to realize the potential of its market.
Liability and debt of Waitrose: The organization being a subsidiary of the John Lewis Partnership, its corporate social liabilities are guided by the founder and executive chairman of the main group. The key areas of concern are the scarcity of good quality resources, skilled laborers, environment-related and health-related problems, and so on. The founder of the organization always believes in providing the customers with good quality products. One of the purposes of the organization is to satisfy the stakeholders and the employees (Carter et al. 2015, p.134). Apart from that it also eyes to have honesty and faith while dealing with customers.

Owners: The organization is headed by Barbara Frost as she is the executive chairman of the organization. It also has always been responsive to the government of the UK for its activities domestically and globally. She states that in the coming years it’s a challenge to the organization to continue with the help activities as the resources of hygiene water are scarce.
