3.1: Explain why security and confidentiality are important in a business environment?
For security purposes, Pizza Hut sets CCTV cameras, comprehensive recording, and a portal of information with the maintenance program which is based on the assessment of individuals. The controlled CCTV system was considered for maintaining security. This system is developed in Pizza Hut to deter potential criminals, thefts and shoplifters, and giving Police valuable evidence and incentivizing good controls as well as best practice. Pizza Hut has taken help from IFacility to ensure security in its business.
IFacility is the company to take the IP together as well as they instantly saw with this flexible system that ensures the security of Piza Hut. iFacility’s personal approach also made an impression: IFacility is professional from that quickly relieved the IT department with their present infrastructure, with simple equipment and acceptable IT controls for security (facility, 2018). The security system in Pizza Hut was also stunned by the capability to manage the supply chain, such as skilled hardware suppliers, installation teams, or distributors.
Confidentiality is significant for different reasons. Confidentiality is personal information protection. By keeping information of clients among the company and the client, and not discussing with others such as co-workers, friends, family, etc. is known as confidentiality (Condon, 2018). The most important confidentiality elements are that it supports improving the trust of the customers. It permits the information’s free flow among the worker and client. The main purpose of maintaining the trust of the customer’s consent before talking to the third party is to keep the privacy or the confidentiality of the client. Informed consent is measured as significant in managing the client’s privacy.
It is significant to protect the trust of the customers as just that – their business. Pizza hut should just describe the matters which are relevant to the client’s business with other workers, and then just what wants to be described. Deliberations should get the place in the place of work and not be perceptible to other workers. Pizza Hut should never describe clients’ business with friends (Condon, 2018).

3.2: Explain the Possible consequences of failing to maintain security and confidentiality in line with requirements.
Poor security to the business can guide to devastating outcomes for the business’s owner, the suppliers, and customers. Businesses are depending on the technology to manage the business; advanced security is becoming a significant concern for one-location business organizations (Security matters, 2018). By finding the safety and security factors on the business and through communications as well as electronic transactions will support to sort out the problems which can hurt the stakeholders such as customers, employees, etc.
Lack of entry badges, inventory systems, security cameras, alarms, and other means of protecting the assets can cost significant dollars. Large robberies can happen in broad daylight if they don’t have proper security procedures or personnel trained to question strangers on your property, including in offices, warehouses, and stores. Shoplifting is a key concern to hire retail security professionals to help to make every area of the store visible to the staff using items such as ceiling mirrors and security cameras (Security Matters, 2018Business organization might have assets siphoned on an ongoing basis, not knowing they are missing until it’s too late to recover them.
Breach of Data Protection Act-1998 can cause serious damage to Pizza Hut’s business. Under this act information regarding customer lists, production processes, financial information, research, website traffic statistics, and computer and building security information cannot be shared outside of the business (GOV.UK, 2018). This means if Pizza Hut shares customer information and employee information (social security number, salary, health records, disciplinary actions, and termination reason) with other companies unless it informs customers in advance, such as when it shares email lists, it will breach the Data Protection Act-1998 (Edmunds, 2018).
If Pizza Huts fails to ensure the confidentiality of its customers, employees, and other stakeholder personal data, they have the legal right to use to the court seeking financial compensation. According to the UK rules and laws, failure of confidentiality of individual personal information may cause huge financial damage as a fine or penalty from the court, where the amount can be from £500 to £500,000 (GOV.UK, 2018).
Finally, work with an information technology company to create security measures that not only keep outside hackers at bay. However, to prevent the employees from snooping where they shouldn’t and former employees from entering the computer network or buildings after they’re terminated. Hackers are coming up with new ways to steal passwords, hack files, and download sensitive data they can sell or use to steal from the customers (Ashe-Edmunds, 2018).
