Introduction

Human Resource Management (HRM) in a business plays a significant function in present company expression. Mullins (2015) stated that, therefore, it has been an important factor for the company businesses to recognize diverse cases of Human Resource Management as well as their submission in the business actions.

This assignment concentrates on diverse features of Human Resource Management from the viewpoint of two company associations, called “British Airways” as well as “Taz Store“. This assignment is grouped into four main tasks. The first part describes PM (Personal Management) as well as HRM (Human Resource Management) in the case of Virgin Group and Taz Store. The second part describes diverse features of staff selection or recruitment in terms of the Virgin Group or Taz Store. The third part describes the motivation or act scheme to inspire as well as keep the employees in Taz Store and British Airways. Lastly, the fourth part describes the methods of cessation of service in terms of an eatery, named the Chicken Master.

What is PM?

PM (Personal Management) is called the usual method of controlling staff in the associations. This means the current method of PM is called HRM. As Torrington (2013) notes, the main roles of PM (Personal Management) are management, work relative, as well as staff benefit.

Differences between HRM and PM

The differences between human resource management as well as personal management are described below:

HRMPM

 

HRM assumes employees as valuable and important resources to gain expected results.PM assumes employees as input to gain desired results.
HRM focuses on recruitment and selection, acquisition and retention, motivation, development, and maintenance of people in organizations.PM focuses on employee relations, employee welfare, and the administration of staff in organizations.
HRM is the modern version of managing employees in organizationsPM is the older/traditional way of managing people in organizations.
Employees are provided more training and job design is done based on team worksEmployees are provided less training, and job designs are done based on employee divisions.
Administrative functions are done to organizational goals.Personnel functions are done to gain improve employee satisfaction.

Taz Store, which is a small entrepreneurship business, does not have specific HRM or PM departments to deal with hiring quality staff and motivating them by attractive rewards schemes. The owner/director is the key leader of the Taz Store which gains business success. The key responsibilities of owner/manager in Taz Store are recruitment and selection of right people, making relationship and engaging the employees within the business, training and developing the staffs, motivating and retaining the staff for longer time periods, providing several reward and incentives schemes to improve staff motivation, retention, performance, and productivity. The owner also defines the pay structure; resolve the employee confliction administration, values and works for employees (Churchard, 2015)., administration, values, and works for employees (Churchard, 2015)……………………
