Primark is one of the famous clothing retailers in the UK. Primark was founded in Ireland. Primark is now operating across the UK. It offers a diverse range of products such as womenswear, menswear, homeware, kids’ clothing, newborn clothing, footwear, accessories, confectionery, and beauty products. It also contributes to the fast fashion trend along with H&M and Zara. Primark has lots of irresistible offers for the many shoppers at very lower prices, which motivate the buyers of volumes of clothing.
Primark has been growing up rapidly. Now it has extended its market in the global market including the US, Netherland, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Spain, etc. The world’s biggest store of Primark is in Manchester, the UK with about 155,000 sq ft of retail spaces. In its current operations, Primark has more than 290 stores, where it gains about £550 million net profit in a year. It servers thousands of customers every day by its dedicated about 57 000 staff. The main competitors of Primark in the UK are Zara, Next, Uniqlo, etc (Primark Annual Report, 2015).

The HR department in any company can be its ace in the hole if used strategically. HR is a company’s human resource multiplier. The functions of an HR professional should focus on the company’s greatest resource of all – its employees. Without good employees, the best business plan and ideas will fail (Britton and Gold, 2012).
Importance of HRM
HRM supports the business and the human resource professional in different ways. First, it helps the HR manager in recruiting the right people for the right position at the right time. Secondly, it helps the management in developing and training the workforces. Third, it supports the HR managers in gaining improve business performance. On the other hand, it supports the employee to disclose their voices and expectation.
