Task 1
1.1 Explain why specific individuals and groups are vulnerable to abuse
This report is linked to shocking news published in the Daily Mail on 23 January 2014 on an abuse. The abuse or scandal was connected to the carelessness or neglect of elderly female care patients care, workers. This circumstance has led to self-harm as well as abuse in the service users in the health and care sector. Although the care worker staled £60, it has led to more than £1000 cost for the service users, named Housebound Lynette Nardone. This is because the victim spent £1000 on setting a camera in her home to find out the care worker thief.
According to vulnerable patients, she has lost her faith and trust in care workers. She has been depending on strangers now which has been more challenging in getting proper care. She also said she feels helpless to accuse the care workers and is frightened to upset the care workers because she is dependent on them. Thus, she expects that the accused care worker, Nadia will never do this kind of abuse with other vulnerable patients like her. This is because nobody likes to be a victim, rather they always look for care, support and dignity.
Older people are more elderly to this type of abuse as they desire more care as well as security. Avoiding the vulnerable older people from this kind of abuse was not in the principle of the care service organizations. A vulnerable older people look for due to age, sickness as well as disability. They are mainly incapable to hold self-care. According to Ansello (2014), elderly older people have psychological as well as physical health demands with the right care as well as concentration.
Our Recommended Resources:
According to Bradshaw (2013), people mainly the elderly adult who are the customers of the healthcare duties have the choice to earn the right hospitalization with decency, empathy as well as appreciation by the hospital employee. But unluckily, the patients were denied terrify in the hospital as well as port them in a ruin condition. It ruined the faith of people in health care duties as well as cracks the rules of health as well as social care.
At home, vulnerable patients mainly suffer from abuse, abuse s, thief, and neglect. This is because it is quite impossible for the care service institutes to look after every single home of the vulnerable care seeker. Thus, it has led to morality percentage in the homes of vulnerable patients………….
