Unit 29: Health Promotion

Introduction

The whole task has been branched into three assignments and established on the affair course of Janet. Task 1 would deliberate on the effects of socio-economic impacts on the health of Janet. The different logics and the desirable obstructions for achieving health management for Janet would also be explained. Task 2 would also apply a similar affair scheme and deliberate on concepts of health management and promising effects of struggles. Task 3 is a health promotion movement for any of the chosen options inclined. The whole task is considering the health promotion and its purpose in Janet’s affair and transmission to the public on the importance of health and connected promoting activities and programs.

TASK 1

1. The effects of socio-economic influences on Janet’s health and the existence of barriers to accessing health care

Social Economic situations of a particular influence the health of a particular in all paths. Industrial situations are connected with the commercial position of an individual. On the other side social is anyone connected to kin, associates, job place, community and the society where particular existents. As each the affair scheme, Janet has been residing with her parents. This shows that she is having a problem on the economic front and she has been living with her guardians also employing for a lengthy time in case she could help herself and even her guardians.

This has been residing in the community and is compelled this is presented that she is affected by sexual health. Sexual Health discloses authentic and important additions to the sectors of sexual health combining sexually transmissible infections, HIV/AIDS, affairs of sexuality and appropriate locations of conceptive health. The affair scheme represents that Janet has been greatly below economic and social affliction. She has been employing for 16 hours each day in case she could gain occupation for her guardians. A few times the financial positions are alike that community has to disremember all things and employ for longer hours as again for their residing. It has been analyzed and established that these are the financial and social situations that provide distress and pressure to a particular.

These efforts even provide a desire to a particular to alike earn on the incorrect path or the track. As Stokol(1992) notes achieve a better residing which has wealth and discarding economic stress Janet may be employed for a lengthy time.

2. An Assessment of the importance of government resources such as reports/research on inequalities in health in relation to the case study

Every and each particular does not earn the same significance in case of the administrative and common the profits of the health and social care. It all is reliant on the economic condition of a particular that the part of the health profits and the promoting curriculums which he could use. On account of the constraint of wealth, people cannot go for costly medications, choices and profits of the health-promoting curriculums. Janet has been in economic and community stress as an affair. She may not be capable to use the profits of health care and promoting programs.

On the other side, different another person who has been gaining great may be activated for costly health medications and the activities. Established on the different articles and the analysis completed on the international and national part by Administrative resources, it could be completed in which there has been much diversity between people in view of the health-promoting and its profits between people. As Catalano et al( 2004) suggest, the point and limit of wealth or amiability people are taking different medications and profits. Authority has been getting various actions in this view however still the situation has been nearly alike in the country.

Task 2

3. Explain with examples of the importance of providing relevant health-related information to the public with respect to the case study.

It is constantly desirable which appropriate and relevant data on the health and security of the particulars should ability them. When the appropriate data would ability them they will be capable to profit up even the alert parts and important tracks. They will effort neglecting and removing the points which may create bad issues to their and their family’s health.

As for each affair scheme, there is no one to advise Janet. She has to be advised by the health experts and her associates which sexual health will create difficulties. She has to be presented on different actual life models. She has to be provided data on the health and security or difficulties connected with sexual health. She could be provided data on AIDS, infections and the activities which authority has already begun. She has to be disclosed on all the difficulties like AIDS, skin-connected bugs and different other illnesses which may be created as poor nature of sexual health. She may be provided information, clues and models which may develop her viewpoint and thought on the nature of sexual health and removing it.

Over the means of health-connected data and the models, she will earn to recognize the difficulties of anti-sexual health activities.

4. Identify the theories of health behavior and explain how health beliefs are translated into behavior in relation to Janet and the case study

The beliefs connected with the health promotions and natures are Descriptive Midrange Theory, Integrated Theory of Health behavior change, and Health Promotion and Behavior Change. These particular beliefs have been settled down established on the analysis task and research completed on nature, social-economic situations and the knowledge of the several people paining from sickness. The beliefs explain that people effort to removing the worst natures such as sexual health when the real image of their sick issues is argued with them either with facing communications, leaflets, advertisements, video activities, and programs.

The only important sector and the view that has to be situated in the thought of the particulars are improving or making the alarm circumstance of their death and the difficulties their families have to appear after them. These beliefs are describing that except the promising warnings and difficulties are familiar to the particulars, they will not remove or quit their worst health declining habits. These theories are convinced into existence and human nature in the pursuing paths:

Distribution of knowledge, theories and the actual world fear articles related with the aware people. As Bandura(1998) notes, the main warning and anxiety that they will have when their nature would be conclusions of their family difficulties and child affairs. The analyzed and information that has been researched presents that people have been in the regular schedules of their worst natures according to they are having need of data and correct educational activities.

When they are experienced and said on the severe difficulties or upset in their families then they surely give up the action to quit the worst nature. Janet has to be created consciously by the health experts that her sexual health nature would conclusion in the sickness of her. She has to be communal with several knowledge and the actual world articles on what has occurred earlier with several people when they did not permit their sexual health natures (Gillies, 1998).

5. Identify and discuss the potential effects of conflicts with local industry on health promotion with respect to Janet and the case study

When the health organization would itself has difficulties and battles then the health activity or the promoting program would never be prosperous. It is important that all the group associates of health-promoting activity and even the community should unite hands to create a program prosperously. All health and medical experts inattentive of their stages have to unite hands and provide similarly as create their campaign prosperously. Competition could be neglected by collective action, help, and the growing idea of the particulars (Rychetnik et al, 2002).

TASK 4

4.1Health programs and campaigns support in extending the proper and important data between the public on the importance of remaining better health and security for the particulars. These programs support in taking people to know about the bad issues of their drinking and smoking programs. They earn the extended prospect in the form of different knowledge, video articles, and the past events of the people who have to die in case of the inexperience and need of campaigns. Although there are many actions and campaigns that have been given up by the authority yet their densities and developments have to be maintained and calculated for their efficiency and effectiveness in the application (Catalano et al, 2004). These campaigns are the instrument and the path in which the important and appropriate data goes the aim gatherings.

The health-promoting program was arranged by me the previous year and I was the leader of the program that was to be arranged. The article of the campaign was “SMOKING KILLS”

Risks of Smoking

  1. Diseases of the mouth, entire body, and lungs.
  2. It is a nature that destroys. It is a quiet killer.
  3. Smoking creates respiring sickness.
  4. Supports in creating blood connected diseases.
  5. Minimizes the normal life of a particular.
  6. Upset the kin life.
  7. It creates passive or indirect smoking between members of kin.

It was a social health-promoting campaign opposite to smoking. I have created the leader of the campaign and was provided a group of 5 people. I authorized the duty to all. As  Kreuter et al(2000) note, different health care experts and the skilled people who have to remove smoking were named to distribute their knowledge (.

2.2

A successful health promotion campaign

A health promotion campaign is more successful if it uses a multi-level approach.

It can influence individuals and groups by having different strategies at different levels.

  • Educating individuals about healthy practices
  • Changing an organization or institutions behavior (healthy eating option)
  • Changing the social(no smoking  in public places) and physical environment(providing outdoor shelters for smokers)
  • Policies to support the changes(smoking ban in public places)
  • A range of strategies(policies, television advertisements, leaflets, posters, events, etc. )

There needs to be:

  • Increased knowledge
  • Motivation
  • An environment that  will influence the changes needed
  • The skills to make the change

The individual/group(the target group)  needs to have:

  • The self-concept factors that will encourage change(belief in themselves, self-efficacy)
  • The right attitude to want to change
  • Knowledge
  • Motivation
  • Past experience
  • The skill
  • The belief will be a change for the better
  • Need to have an understanding of the threat posed by the health problem(susceptibility, severity)
  • The benefits of avoiding the threat
  • Need to be aware of the factors that can affect the decision to act(barriers, self-efficacy, cues to act)

Conclusion

There is an urgent demand for creating people conscious over the health care campaigns and the actions so that they change their natures and bad attitudes of sexual health and smoking. Although the authority has taken up several health actions and campaigns, still there is a need of arranging them by proposing the proper set of people with proper methods on daily support.
