According to Guzman and Choi (2015), employability skills can be recognized as transferable skills that are essential for a person to make his/her employable. The employees of a business organization have focused on a number of skills in the workplace (Mansour, 2016). The key employability skills include communication skills, team working skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, planning skills, self-management skills, learning skills, technological skills, and others. According to the scenario of this assignment, as a Care Home Manager, I need to develop my career skills, knowledge to apply for a promotion.
In this case, I have to review my current skills, set targets as well as to organize an event related to Health Promotion. This assignment includes key four tasks. The first task of this assignment develops its own responsibilities and performance objectives that help to develop the self-assessment in the workplace. Then,
the first task evaluates the own effectiveness, makes effective recommendations for improvement, and reviews how the motivational techniques can be applied to improve performance quality. The second task of this assignment develops different solutions related to work-based problems and identifies different strategies related to effective time-management. The third task of this assignment explains the roles that people play in a team and how they work together to achieve the shared goals, analyze the team dynamics, and suggests other ways to complete the tasks and meet the team goals. The fourth task of this assignment evaluates methods or tools to develop solutions to problems, develops an appropriate strategy to solve a particular problem, and evaluates the potential impact on the business of implementing the strategy.
