Introduction
In this coursework, I have been informed by a human resource professional called Justine Morris to complete some tasks on recruiting and training the right people in workplaces. In the first section of this paper, a brief discussion on a chosen company, called Greggs plc, has been given. In the second section of this essay, documents regarding a vacancy have been outlined including job description, job specification, and application form.

1.1 Brief discussion of the chosen business
Greggs plc is the chosen business to complete the tasks given in this coursework. Greggs is a leading and very popular food chain company in the UK. It has more than 2500 shops across the UK. It is also operating in international marketplaces including the EU, China, and India. It serves millions of customers every week. It has about 2200 dedicated and devoted workforces. The key products of Greggs plc are sandwiches, sweets, bread, teas and coffees, and soft drinks. Greggs can be found everywhere in the UK including high streets, shopping malls. near the tubes, buses, and train stations, motorway, near the visiting spots, famous parks, universities, and busy locations (Greggs Annual Report, 2015).
1.2 What are human resources?
Human resources refer to the activities which are related to human functions in organizations. Human resources are linked with selecting and recruiting people, training, and developing people to make them valuable for the businesses. Human resources include doing job analysis, planning staff needs and expectations, hiring the right people at the right time, managing wages and salaries, providing incentives, rewards, and performance appraisals (Mullins, 2014). Greggs plc is focusing on all of these human resources in its business operations (Greggs Annual Report, 2015).
