The aim of this paper is to do a personal development plan for myself. As my goal is to be an expert business researcher and to develop a career in the business research field, I have focused on personal, academic, and employment analysis. These analyses have found out my strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities. In addition, these analyses have identified my open, blind, secret, and hidden areas of knowledge and skills. The key weaknesses I have found are lack of experience in different roles in different organizations, less professional and vocational training, presentation skills, creativity and innovation skills, professionalism in research and analytical skills, and confidence to show performance in critical situations. To overcome these weaknesses I have developed a personal development plan for the five years that is outlined in a Gantt chart.

Contingency plan of personal development
Personal Development Plan (PDP) is a process of identifying the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities of an individual. This is the process of improving oneself skills and experiences by increasing consciousness, knowledge and skills, and building wealth. After completing the DBA program, an individual can evaluate his/her skills, knowledge, and experiences and can develop a personal plan (Mueller, 2017). In this paper, I have developed a personal development plan based on the knowledge and experiences gained through my current degree (DBA program) and the previous academic and employment backgrounds. This personal development plan is developed in four key stages. In the first stage, my personal knowledge and experiences are analyzed. In the second stage, my professional and employment skills and experienced are analyzed. In the third stage, my academic qualification, skills, and knowledge are analyzed. In the fourth stage, an action plan is developed based on the finding of the above analysis.

Personal Development Plan (PDP) definition
According to Bob (2010), Personal Development Plan (PDP) is a structured process to determine one’s own knowledge, experiences, and skills, attitudes to gain personal and professional goals. This plan helps to determine the reflection of one’s learning and knowledge through different specific training or a specific program. To determine academic, personal, and professional goals, it is a structured way of reflecting on their own knowledge, experiences, achievement, and learning (Munns and Woodward, 2006).
A format is developed by the University of Bath to determine guidelines for developing a Personal Development Plan (PDP) (University of Bath, 2014). This PDP plan describes academic, social, and personal skills and experiences that they gained. The format of the PDP plan is developed here:

From this above figure, it is seen that PDP is developed in mainly six stages. The first stage is where I am now that is determined by SWOT analysis. The second stage of this plan is where I want to be that determine future development plan. In the third stage determine the way of achieving future development plans. What support I need to achieve my personal and professional goals. The contingency plan and conclusion is determined in the fifth and sixth stage.
Statement of personal learning development
According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory, human needs are classified into five stages that are basic needs, safety needs, security needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. All categories of needs have been fulfilled, except self-actualization needs. I completed my graduation and post-graduation from the University of West of Scotland. I have been working as a retail assistant in SAINSBURY’S since 2013. To upgrade my knowledge and skills, I need to pursue a DBA program. This program is needed in this competitive business arena to cope up with competitive positions. This program also helps to determine a career in a new specific way and gives the opportunity for continuous learning and collecting new experiences. My academic, personal, and professional skills and experiences will be increased at a time improving attitudes and behaviors. I believe my self-actualization needs will be fulfilled through the achievement of the proposed DBA program at the University of West of Scotland…..
