Task 1.1 Produce a report on ‘improving the sustainability within a business environment’ by ‘analyzing the benefits of keeping the waste to a minimum.

The worldwide challenges connected with industrialized manufacturing are complicated, engaging the environmental, social and economic concerns (Hart and Milstein, 2017). Current research on environmental sustainability recommends that engagement of the firm in the green values, implementation of the proactive method to climate change, and importance on sustainability are driven by the need for the long-term competitive advantage (Esty and Winston, 2017). Sustainable business practices have implications for virtually every aspect of a firm’s business model (Hart and Milstein, 2017), and the pursuit of environmental sustainability is linked with organizational identity.

The world’s problems are linked with retaining the waste to a minimum and these are multidimensional including social, financial, moral, or motivation of the employee and environment. By minimizing the waste in an organization can help to improve the business image to the customers’ view (Thangavel, 2017). A business organization can protect its cash amount by managing the waste of the organization by depending on the nature of the business.

Environmental and Social: It is essential to recycle the waste of the business for minimum disposals to a landfill or minimum damage to the environment of business. Maintain and hygiene space in present landfills to reduce waste for future landfills. It minimizes the business pollution and consumption of energy which are connected with the new materials’ manufacturers (Capon, 2016). It is significant to reduce other effects such as noise and dust on properties or streets of the business for the critical destruction.

Financial: As Capon (2016) notes, it is very costly to manage the waste of the business. Reducing the business waste in landfills can take great tax savings of landfills. After that, effective products of the business use the reduced purchasing cost for new products of the business. Business organizations can be capable to gain more revenue from the recovered parts of the building and the materials which are recycled. Employee motivation and morale: It is significant to communicate with customers via e-mail and other electronic communication systems instead of using paper to reduce the business waste and it also develops the productivity of the employees (Capon, 2016). However, it is essential to move from hard copy papers to electronic newsletters to let the customers know about reducing the use of paper in business organizations. Task 1.2(a): Write a report on the agreed procedures for ‘recycling’

Recycling is the process of processing waste or used materials into useful as well as new products. This is done to reduce the use of raw materials that would have been used. Recycling also uses less energy and a great way of controlling air, water, and land pollution (Markus, 2016). Effective recycling starts with the household as well as the business organization (or the place where the waste was created). In many countries, the authorities help the business organizations and households with papers and bin bags with labels on them.
