1.1.4 Data sources
Primary and secondary data should be applied in research work to manage that research (Saunders et. al, 2014). Primary data resources information is collected by researchers by themselves. Secondary data resources are always prepared.
In this assignment, both primary and secondary data are applied to observe college objectives and research. The survey method is used as a primary data resource in this assignment. In this assignment, secondary data applies journals, books, college annual report, college websites, and third parties departments. The primary resource should be managed by answer the one number research question as well as a secondary resource that should be managed to answer the second research question.
1.2 Survey methodology and sampling method
Survey methodology
The effective methodology of primary data collection is known as survey methodology. Survey methodology is normally applied for gathering quantitative data. Close-ended and structured questions are normally applied for survey methodology (Sauders et al., 2014).
Sampling
A number of people or groups are focused on the technique known as sampling. Sampling collects data on the specific topic of the research. Probability sampling and non-probability sampling are the two major classifications of sampling (Saunders et al., 2014).
In this assignment, UKCBC College’s survey has managed in order to recognize students’ outlook on the atmosphere and learning style and the course guidelines. For this assignment, this is very hard in order to collect data from all of the students of the college. Therefore, this assignment focuses on the non-probability technique of sampling that selects 100 randomly selected students from several departments of UKCBC College. The target customers for conducting the survey are grouped as different age groups and sex. Among 60 participants, 30 are men and 30 are women. The age groups are categorized as 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46+ where 15 people come from each age group.
1.3 Survey questionnaire design
There are different numbers of stages to make a survey questionnaire design. There should be some purposes for the assignment. There should be at least 10 questions. The 1st three questions should be about the student’s own information and the next seven questions are about the student’s thoughts about college. These questions should be like students’ satisfaction with the college environment, college resources, college teaching style, tuition fees, etc. The designed questionnaire of this survey is included as follows…………….
