2.0 Reflection on my key personal (leadership) quality.
2.2 Interpretation of feeling.
4.0 Action plan.
The term reflection refers to the explanation of learning from theoretical and practical experience and creating a connection between learning and thinking. Rumson (2018) stated that the reflective study helps to identify the gathered experience from particular learning and helps to find the weaknesses and strengths of learning. It will also develop personal knowledge and help in achieving further development in the future (Singh, 2017). In this reflective study, I will find that the different workshops and experiences increase my personal knowledge and I can use my strengths in the practical workplace. In this reflective study, I use Gibb’s reflection cycle for analyzing my personal leadership and other quality development.
On the basis of this reflective cycle, my experiences are described on the basis of six bases including description, Feeling, Evaluation, Analysis and Action Plan. Jasper (2018) stated that the key reason behind choosing this strategy is that this method is effective as well as easy for explaining the main learning reflection. The description part contains the main happening factors of the learning. Then, the feeling part contains the thinking and feeling about the happening. After that, the evaluation part contains the evaluation of positive and negative experiences from the particular learning. Then, the analysis part analyses the situation management system in the learning system. The conclusion part contains the summary of the performed functions in the special learning program and finally, the action plan contains the further actions in the next learning.
2.0 Reflection on my key personal (leadership) quality
In the first stage of the reflective model, the description of overall quality and experiences are identified and described elaborately (Blumberg and Cooper, 2019). Jasper (2018) stated that this description part tries to identify and describe the key factors of learning, the duration of learning, and the present situation of learning. In the case of my viewpoint, the description contains an explanation of the personal skills and qualities that I have attained from the various workshop exercises and module experiences. Additionally, it is also described the process of using personal qualities in practical activities and experiences.
I found that I have gained lots of qualities in the leadership system in the workplace. I have found that leadership style can be categorized under several kinds including democratic, autocratic and laissez-faire leadership. I have found that only one leadership style is not enough or suitable for managing the team members because all leadership systems have positive and negative factors. Therefore, I have also studied the advantages and disadvantages of every leadership style. I have found that the democratic leadership style is good enough because it motivates the team members to work collaborate. As a leader, I have found that I can be able to lead the team members or followers by maintaining quality. I have set targets and developed a policy of the work and distributed it to the team members and lead them for attaining the team goals. I have acquired some charismatic leader qualities to influence the team members for ensuring the quality of the team performance. I also have enough power to create a strong communication system among team members in the workplace.
Additionally, I have acquired the practical knowledge of mitigating the problems and barriers in the workplace as a successful leader. In every action, I have put my best effort in the workplace to remove the conflicts and imbalance between power and influence. I have also learned the motivation methods to the employees as a leader. I have gained the knowledge of financial and non-financial motivation methods that a leader can be used for motivating the employees. I have attained a great level of confidence to take pressure in the workplace. As a leader, I have provided adequate guidelines to my team members by which the team members feel good and provide their best efforts in the workplace. I have believed in connectivity and acted as a visionary leader to forecast the future and lead the subordinates according to the vision. Therefore, my leadership quality is quite satisfactory and workshop exercises and module experience have a significant impact on my leadership quality.
2.2 Interpretation of feeling
In the case of the second factor of Gibbs’s reflective model, the feeling from the learning and experience is interpreted (Rumson, 2018). The feeling contains the strengths and weaknesses of the particular learning. From my workshop exercises and module experience, I have attained several leadership qualities. These qualities increase my strength and create opportunities for further development. I have felt that I have ensured my strong leadership quality. The main reason is that I have felt that I have gained a good score out of 100 from my workshop exercises and module experience. In the case of leadership toolkits, I have increased my awareness of mine by 43%, managed emotions by 35%, motivation myself by 46%, increased my empathy skills by 42%, and increased my social skills by 47%.
In the case of personality profile, I have gained 25% marks as my extravert, gained 3% as my intuitive, gained 6% as my feeling and gained 31% as my judging skills. From the overall feeling, I have felt that my leadership quality is increased on the basis of leadership toolkits because I cut a good figure on it. On the other hand, I have also weaknesses, especially in my personal qualities. I have felt that I am a conscious person and can be managed my emotions because I have attained a way of motivating others. I have also gained the knowledge of creating social connections to form a good working and experience place. But still, I have a lack of personal qualities development that can be negatively impacted my leadership quality………………………….
