2.1 Definition of Literature review
The term ‘Literature Review’ is also known as narrative review which is a kind of review article. As Taylor (2018) notes, the literature review is a kind of scholarly paper that mainly includes current knowledge on a particular topic with fundamental findings and both theoretical and methodological influences. Grant (2016) said that a literature review includes the critical analysis and integration of information on a particular topic from different sources. On the other hand, Chris (2017) said that the literature review is considered as the extensive review of different sources related to the research topics and subject matters.
It is also a written summary of wider views of any topic which describes both past and current state of information. A study by Lawrence and Brenda (2016) said that there are different types of literature reviews such as integrative review, systematic review, methodological review, theoretical review, and argumentative review. Fink (2017) disclosed that a literature review is a systematic, reproducible, and explicit technique for evaluating, making and identifying different sources, documents, investigations and research done by experts, researchers as well as scholars.
