Importance of Time Management
As Doyle (2018) notes, time management is the set of practices, principles, tools, and skills which help a person to use his/her time to achieve what he/she wants. Time management is a very important factor for both personal and career success. In addition, this factor helps a person how to manage his/her time effectively. When a person learns to manage his/her time effectively, he/she can achieve their tasks/works with less effort. Time management helps to complete tasks effectively.
According to Sasson (2018) notes, good and effective time management supports a person to make effective decisions. After that, time management is an essential factor that helps a person in his/her career to become successful and also helps to increase experiences for getting more opportunities in life (Morgenstern, 2017). Next, when a person has control of time, it is very easy to stop feeling rushed in his/her work. Thus, time management helps a person to reduce stress from their work. Time management increases a person’s morale and helps to plan better. On the other hand, when a person practices proper management of time, he/she has no option for the delay. Good management and practice of time help a person to become self-discipline and this is very important for both personal and professional life to get success.
Evaluation of the methods described in the article
In the article on time management, different methods of time management are described such as effective planning, setting goals and objectives, setting deadlines, a delegation of responsibilities, prioritizing activities, and spending the right time on the right activity. These methods help to manage time effectively. A study by Allen (2018) stated that effective planning is a very important method for managing time. When a person plans his/her time effectively for completing different tasks, he/she become able to manage time in both personal and professional life. In terms of goals and objectives set, it is essential to have a specific time for achieving the goals and objectives of specific tasks. Thus, time should be managed effectively to achieve and set goals and objectives for specific tasks (Knapp and Zeratsky, 2016). However, setting goals and objectives for specific tasks in time is not an easy task. In terms of setting a deadline, when a person manages time effectively, he/she becomes able to set deadlines for his/her task. Saunders (2018) said that persons who are not able to manage time cannot set deadlines for tasks and become fail to complete the tasks. However, setting deadlines by managing time is very difficult to maintain. In terms of the delegation of responsibilities, the responsibilities must delegate to each interest of persons to complete tasks within the deadlines. Thus, an organization must delegate the responsibilities by depending on their knowledge.
Silber (2017) stated that organizations sometimes hire the wrong persons for the job and they do not work properly on time by maintaining the deadline. In terms of prioritizing activities, prioritizing tasks is an important factor for both personal and professional life (Tracy, 2017). It is essential to understand the difference between urgent and important tasks and also know the time for task completion. If a person prioritizes his/her tasks properly, then he/she will easily complete the tasks on time.
According to Alexandar (2017) notes, time management depends on prioritizing tasks. However, most of the persons do not understand which task has more priority in the day and fails to complete the task on time and become disorganized about time management. In terms of spending the right time on the right activity, it is the most significant factor in a person’s life. A study by Schwartz (2017) disclosed that when a person does the right work at the right time, he/she gets success in present and future life. A person must practice this skill to do the right work at the right time because if a person does work at the wrong time, then he/she fails to manage time or spend time effectively on task. However, not every person has the same capability to manage the effective use of time for completing the right work at the right time.

In addition, a good working environment supports a person to do work on time without any distraction and shut off technological distractions (such as Facebook) also helps to complete any task on time (Silberman, 2015). After that, reducing procrastination in work helps a person to complete work in a short time without any fear. On the other hand, in the article it is discussed that a person needs to be organized, focused and does not misuse time for managing time effectively but a number of suggestions could be included in this list including self-awareness, self-motivation, patience, prioritization skill, overcoming procrastination and delegating tasks.
