Executive Summary
The telecommunication industry sector has become the leading business sector in the world. The chosen organization for this assignment is O2 which the leading and well-known mobile network operator. This assignment is divided into several tasks. In the first task, O2’s SWOT and PESTLE analysis are briefly described. In the second task of this assignment technological disruption and disruptive innovation in the telecommunication sector, how technological disruption and disruptive innovation in telecommunication influence O2’s business policies and decision-making process, and the effectiveness of O2’s responses towards technological disruption and disruptive innovation in telecommunication are explained.
Lastly, some areas of improvement of O2 are described. From the SWOT and PESTLE analysis of O2, it is seen that O2 has taken a great position in the telecommunication industry. Moreover, O2 has the capability to develop strategies and adopt technological disruption and disruptive innovation in its organizational policies and performance. The success of the telecommunication industries (including O2) will minimize if there will no proper and fair business policy. Nowadays, the telecommunication industry sector has become the leading business sector in the world. The chosen organization for this assignment is O2 which the leading and well-known mobile network operator. This assignment is divided into several tasks.

In the UK, uSwitch awarded it as the best network coverage in 2018. It is now offering 2G, 3G, and 4G services across the UK through its over 32 million network connections. It also provides nationwide O2 wifi services. It has partnerships with other mobile virtual network operators including Tesco Mobile, Lyca Mobile, Sky Mobile, and Giffgaff. 1.2 Analysis of external environmental factors of O2
Business environment
The business environment is the sum total of all external and internal factors that influence a business. External factors and internal factors can influence each other and work together to affect a business. For example, health and safety regulation is an external factor that influences the internal environment of business operations. Additionally, some external factors are beyond business control. These factors are often called external constraints. External factors of a business are analyzed using the PESTLE tool and internal factors are analyzed using the SWOT tools (Kotler et al., 2014).
SWOT Analysis of O2
SWOT analysis is an effective framework for analyzing or identifying both external and internal factors that influence business performance (Rouse, 2017). SWOT means strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

The internal factors include strengths and weaknesses. On the other hand, the external factors include opportunities and threats. There are many benefits and limitations of SWOT analysis.
