According to Muhammed Swalih (2017), Social media is given a platform for people for connecting with other people around the world. In the case of digital technologies and the internet area; social media covers a large area and people are learning new issues from social media. Social media includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Viber, WhatsApp etc. This assignment covers the information about the positive as well as negative effects of social media and the challenges as well as measures concerned with social media. The two social mediums are elaborately discussed and justified as a communication method.

Elise Moreau (2019) stated that Social media includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Viber, WhatsApp etc that offers to the users several types of services including sharing views, chatting, audio calls and video calls and other important services to the users. Each media has both advantages as well as disadvantages. Some of the aspects are described below:
2.1 Positive aspects of social media
Connection with people: In the social media website, the connection is established among the various users of social media platforms. According to Bilal Ahmad (2016), communication among people around the world is ensured through the online platform. Interaction among people is the main benefit of social media. On Facebook, people get the opportunity to share views, chatting, audio calls and video calls with other users. The networking apps help to cover the communication channel around the world people.
Real-time news reporting: Bilal Ahmad (2016) mentioned that social networking apps cover the news as soon as possible. People always can update them with the real changing world due to the reporting of social media platforms.
Business Development: Today most business firms are running online and eCommerce businesses to attract customers. According to Imtiaz Ali (2015), The numbers of potential customers in social media platforms are numerous. For example; business firms can advertise the products and services information on the page of Facebook, Instagram and other social media that inspire the potential customers to purchase products that develop the business condition.
Fun: Imtiaz Ali (2015) mentioned that in social media networking apps; people can share various types of funny audios, videos and other jokes that create happiness among the users of social media.

Privacy: WebFx (2018) mentioned that Social media has not only advantages but also disadvantages like lack of privacy of the user’s personal information. From social media; one can collect one’s information easily for accomplishing the bad intentions that are very harmful to the users. For this reason; privacy is the burning question to social media users.
A huge base of information: In social media platforms and websites, there are lots of information bases that are not so important to users. It hampers the user’s time and the users feel bored with unimportant information.
Decreasing physical activities: At present; social media considers addiction to drugs. People are wasting their huge time on social media and they are reducing their physical functions and activities that create lots of diseases and harm the health of the people. Meetrv (2019) stated that several types of serious diseases may occur due to addiction in social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. The people also face eye problems due to huge attraction in the Mobile, laptop and Tab screens.
Distraction: Bilal Ahmad (2016) stated that Social networking sites are not only increasing bonding but also reducing the bonding among the people. At present; people are more concerned with virtual life than real life. The family relationship is broken due to the negative impact of social media. The people are not giving time to their parents, wife, husband, children and real-life friends (FutureOfWorking, 2019). They are only connected with virtual friends in social media that increase the distraction among the blood connection people.

Fake requests from spam profiles: According to Souvik Banerjee (2019), the number of fake profiles in social media is increasing day by day. Most of the fake profiles are connected with hacking and spam. The spam profiles hack the original profiles and hamper the personal interest of other users of social media.
Phishing: According to Vishwanath (2017), Phishing is also a fake profile but looks like an original profile according to our base on the information. By phishing; the hackers are able to do fraud with the people who are connected with the original account. This challenge is considered a very serious challenge for the social media platform.
Clickjacking: According to Vishwanath (2017), this problem is arisen by using a user-interface redress attack. The hackers sent the actual user a click point and when the user click it, the hackers hack the page and meet their invalid objectives.
Ransomware: Radi Petrov Romansky (2014) stated that ransomware is one kind of software that is able to do malicious activities and access other information. Firstly, the hackers hack the profile and demand some money from the user to recover the profile. If the user does not agree to pay, the hackers do harmful activities for the actual users.
Cyberstalking: Ovidio and Doyle (2003) mentioned that by this activity; the individual user or the group users are affected. This is concerned with monitoring activities, identity theft, threats, threats of sex and other harmful activities.
