The reflective learning journal is a piece of writing that allows individuals to record thoughts as well as insights about his/her own learning experiences. It encourages the persons as learners to review and consolidate learning as well as to evaluate performance and plan for future learning based on the past learning experience. In this way, individuals become capable of taking charge of their own learning, developing and turning into independent lifelong learners (BPP, 2010).
This report, first section, discusses self-managed learning and two particular approaches of lifelong learning which encourage the process of self-managed learning. Then the report includes my personal Reflective learning Journal based on my workplace learning experience.
In the second, the report conducts my self-assessment audit and finds out my personal strengths and weaknesses using the Reflective Learning Journal included in the first section. Then the reports include a Personal Development Plan based on the Audits and Strengths and Weaknesses analysis. Following these, the report explains two particular time management strategies to carry out the proposed plan. Finally, the report critically reviews and evaluates the proposed Personal Development Plan and then updates the plan adding two more objectives.

|Reflection:||I have been working for Greggs Plc for more than one year as a team member. My key jobs are serving customers, dealing with cash and card payment through tills, products shelving and displaying, and facing up, keep the store net and clean, etc. I enjoy the work because my manager and colleges and the work environment are very friendly and helpful. 1.1 Self-managed learning
Self-managed learning is a process where individuals take initiative by themselves formulating learning goals, identifying individual sources of learning, diagnosing learning needs, implementing the right learning methods, and evaluating the learning outcomes (Knowles, 1975). Self-managed learning means managing individuals to improve themselves but it does not mean that they will learn online or in isolation. Self-managed learning is significant to improve the ability of individuals where they can use a range of techniques to ensemble themselves. However, unexpected and formless learning is not efficient. As a result, particular methods or strategies have to be used in self-managed learning.
1.2 Two different approaches in which lifelong learning encourage self-managed learning
There are many approaches in which lifelong learning may encourage self-managed learning where learning through research and learning from others are very popular.
1.2.1 Learning through research
Learning through research is one of the methods of modern self-managed learning. The Internet is nowadays widely spreading and providing up-to-date information from a range of sources. There are many websites from where I can gather knowledge regarding my jobs in the workplace to provide excellent customer service. In addition, Social media like YouTube, Facebook, Skype Twitter, etc may be sourced in my self-managed learning. Moreover, different textbooks that may be collected from libraries may source in the research of my self-managed learning.
These sources will give me huge information in my personal research from where I will be able to learn lots of things about my jobs and workplace mainly the external environment. Consequently, it will extend my knowledge which will improve my communication skill, leadership skills, management skills, problems solving skills, decision-making skills, etc. It will also increase my confidence to work for other companies across the globe in higher positions. Overall, it will lead me to potential career prospects……………..
