1.0 Introduction

A reflective Essay can be defined as the analytical practice of a writer in which the experience of any event and its consequences in the future is described (Sprouse, 2019). The reflective essay is about my achievement of employability skills from my individual presentation on “leadership style/skills of Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon Inc”.  The main purpose of this essay is to help me understand my strengths and weaknesses and act accordingly. This essay provides me an opportunity to analyze my performances and helps me to get developed in the future. In this reflective essay, I have applied Gibb’s reflection model. This model consists of six stages: Description, Feeling, Evaluation, Analysis, Conclusion, and Action Plan (Tyler, 2019). Description describes briefly about the task, Feeling describes how an individual felt about the task, Evaluation and Analysis describes the strengths and weaknesses, Conclusion gives a brief about the entire process and finally, Action plan describes further steps required to recover the weaknesses. 2.1 Description

According to Shore (2018), in the initial stage of a reflective essay, what is happened and its consequences are emphasized. As a part of my coursework, I attended an individual presentation. I presented a presentation slide on a particular topic “analysis of the leadership style/skills of Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon Inc.”. In this presentation, I mainly focus on the concept of the difference between leadership and management, the characteristics of effective leaders, different leadership theories, and different types of leadership, Jeff Bezos’s leadership style and the positive and negative sides of his leadership. I presented my presentation slide in front of my course teacher and classmates. In this presentation, I tried to develop my employability and study skills including communication skills, ICT skills, research skills, numeracy, teamwork skills, organization/ time management and problem-solving skills.

2.2 Interpretation of feeling

According to Shore (2018), in this stage of a reflective essay, the most important and interesting facts about the event are discussed. Different theories are used to describe these sections. In this section, I tried to describe my feeling about my presentation. As my topic of the presentation is the analysis of the leadership of Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon Inc., I tried to increase my knowledge about business leadership. Besides I worked hard on my personal and professional development skills including communication skills, ICT skills, research skills, numeracy, teamwork skills, organization/ time management and problem-solving skills. In my presentation, the most important factor is the lack of cooperation of the audience. It distracted me from delivering my presentation speeches.

Their side talk was very annoying to me. According to Cupper (2017), the cooperation of the audience helps the presenter to perform well. Supporting audiences or the team members helps to improve the performances and productivity. It helps to boost up the communication skills and helps to achieve the goals. Besides this, another important factor is that poor time management. I was failed to manage my time during the presentation. This caused boringness among the audiences. Time management is very vital for any presentation. This helps to deliver a successful and nice presentation. Due to my lack of knowledge about time management I was failed to deliver an effective presentation. Another important factor is that the lack of research. My presentation slide has some lacking research information. The decoration of my slide was very good according to the teacher. I managed to succeed in ICT skills. Overall though I have some problems in my presentation, I tried my best to perform well……………
