Reflection can be defined as the mental approach that consists of thought or opinions based on the activities when it is reflecting and explain the relationship and information about the learning and thinking. In this case study I show an overall reflection on my personal and professional development and employability skills that I achieved through an individual presentation named “leadership style/skills of Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon Inc”. Gibb’s reflection model is most suitable to interpret the reflection on my work so in here I adapted this model (Renner, 2019). This model has six important factors such as description, Feeling, Evaluation, Analysis and Action Plan. Those six factors are respectively elaborately conferred here depends on my reflection of the topic. This model is easy to apply and more accurate than the others model like the Holver model.
2.0 Reflection on employability skills, based on what I have covered in the PPD module
At the introductory phase, a reflection mainly emphasizes what occurred and the examined things and analysis. I presented a personal presentation titled “Analysis of the leadership style/skills of Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon Inc”. Numerous audiences were present to hear and analyze my presentation like my honorable teachers and batch mates. Some important skills of the presenters make their presentation more perfect, develop and efficiently such as communication skills, ICT skills, research skills, numeracy, teamwork skills, time management, and problem-solving skill and so on (Buffon, 2017). I always try to do my level best to a balanced combination of all these skills are developed and exhibited in my presentation. In my presentation, I made an adequate slide on the particular subject and was concerned to cover the entire topic. I discussed several issues like leadership vs. management, Bezos as a good leader or manager, characteristics of an effective leader, leadership theory, leadership style and positive and negative leadership characteristics of Bezos.
2.2 Interpretation of feeling
A real efficient presentation related to hardworking, concentration and also management approaches (Lim, 2019). When I wanted to make my presentation properly some facts were in my minds such as collect data and information from a reliable source and proper arrangement of them and make sure their appropriate use, group work and sufficient ICT knowledge. An effective team works depend on the participation of the entire members of their teams and discuss the topic, find out the strength and weakness and try to solve out the problems that they faced (Cavil, 2019). I figured that teamwork would be more effective to make my presentation suitably but that was my bad luck. My teammates were not so cooperative, they always focused on their individual works and were not too comfortable communicating efficiently. It is true that sometimes they helped each other but that was not enough to make a proper presentation slide and practice them in front of others. So I thought my team selection was not correct and I expected better advantages from my team but I was frustrated. On the other hand, I was very nervous on my presentation day. The ample audiences are the reason that they made me uncomfortable. I was happy that I could have collected the most relevant and enough information but some slides were too large than the requirement and I was suffering from time management. Time management is the most important part of a presentation, it acknowledges the presenter’s expertness, shrewdness and activities of the performance (Cavil, 2019). Though I had gathered lots of information, I failed to apply some theories into practices that are very significant to enrich the knowledge and help to make more communicating me with the teamwork……
