Organizational behavior refers to the process of an organization’s structure and behavior within its business operation (Mullions, 2007). Organizational behaviors are structured in different levels within the organization’s internal and external environment, where microenvironmental behavior focuses on individuals and group dynamics and macro-environmental behavior focuses on overall organization activities. This report has assessed, evaluated, and recommended organizational behavioral contexts for a large organization, which operates with 2000 employees from diverse backgrounds. The company management is working in five different layers. Although the staff retention level is high in the company, it is facing the challenges of financial performance and sales revenue.
In the first section, the report shows how organizational culture as well as structure impact business performance. The second section discloses the management and leadership issues and assesses the present situations and makes suggestions for the organizations. The third section focuses on motivation and its theories and practice in the organization to recommend to improve. The fourth section explains the effectiveness of teamwork in organizational performance and success. Finally, the report concentrate on contemporary workplace factors including legislation, diversity, equality, and discrimination.

Organizational behavior refers to how people interact with workplaces with each other. This is the scientific approach that is applied by the organization’s management as well as workforces. The organizational behavioral theories mainly emphasize the output of workforces. There are different kinds of models used in staffs related activities like motivation, job performance, job satisfaction, management, and leadership, etc. The key goal of developing an organization’s behavior is to improve business performance and effectiveness. This report has assessed, evaluated, and recommended organizational behavioral contexts for a large organization. The company has 2000 staff who come from culturally diverse backgrounds. About 1500 staffs work for headquarter and the other 500 staffs work for two different branches that are away from headquarters. Most of the tasks in company workplaces are performed individually, where some tasks are based on teamwork. There are five layers of management, where most of the managers are men. It is not possible to fully be familiarized by top-level management with the company culture.
The company is operating now with poor financial performance and decreased sales revenues and profits, and improved staff turnover. Consequently, the company’s key objectives are to increase improve financial performance, sales and profit, and employee retention level. To gain these aims and objectives, the management needs to understand overall organizational behavioral circumstances and find out the actual causes of poor financial performance, decreased sales and profits, and increased staff turnover level. Then, the management has to take comprehensive actions and required changes to meet the objectives and goals.
According to provide the guidelines to the proposed company, this study first has discussed different theories and models on organizational behavior, culture, and structure. Then, the report has suggested the proposed organization how it can improve its financial performance, sales revenue, and profits, and staff loyalty with improving financial performance and sales revenue and profit margin.
