In this competitive age; Business firms need to identify and analyze the factors for taking accurate future decisions. Morrison (2016) stated that the changes in business environment factors change the organizations’ decisions. The business organizations’ profitability, performance and growth all depend on the proper management of environmental factors (Needle, 2014). For this reason; this paper is prepared for this analysis on a case study on Man Group Plc. This company is an investment management firm that operates its business internationally. The main branch of Man Group is located in Riverbank house; London operates its functions in the whole of Europe and other countries around the world. The hierarchical structure is followed in this firm. Firstly; this report mentions the governing system and structure system of Man Group Plc. The second section covers the environmental factors (PESTEL factors) of the Man group that ultimately affect the performance of this organization. In 2019; the revenue, operating income and net income were $1113 million, $307 million and $285 million respectively (Man Group Plc Annual Report, 2019).
Organizational structure: The term Organizational structure represents the process of creating a communication channel within the firm for gaining the targets of the firm (Meyer, 2014). The hierarchical structure is followed in this firm. Therefore; the main governing body of this firm is a board of directors in this firm (Man Group Plc Annual Report, 2019).
Management: Management is a continuous process of implementing the policies of the board of directors and monitoring the overall activities to gain the targets of the firm (Boddy, 2016).
