Task 1
Question1: What are the core principles of a project and why are they important?
The project introduces restricted and well-defined activities to deliver an outgrowth that can be measured and observed to attain a specific goal. Epstein (2015) disclosed various principles of a project. Every project is unique that can never be repeated at one time. There is a definite result or solution for each project that defines the main purpose of that task. Each project requires a variety of efforts for the improvement of results.
Any project is essentially a collection of interrelated activities, people, tools, processes, and other assets brought together in the activity of a common goal (Badiru, 2012). The principles and characteristics of any project are significant to achieve the goals and objectives of any project. The need for project management is very important as speed, quality, and cost control allow managers to plan and manage strategic initiatives to generate new revenue (Richman, 2002).
Question 2: What would you have included in the scope statement for a project?
A project scope statement is one of the most significant units of any project. It describes the main purpose of the project. The main purpose of the scope statement is to describe quantifiable criteria for success and include at least cost, schedule, and quality measures (Heldman et al., 2007).
