In the last several years, Sainsbury has applied information technology and established an IT department for managing the networks, collecting and storing the data, ensuing privacy and security of the data, and running the computerized functions (Sainsbury, 2019). The production activities, distribution activities and administrative activities all are performed by effective application of IT. Sainsbury can increase its profitability, brand image and loyalty of the consumers in the market by the help of IT tools. Information technology helps Sainsbury to manage the employees, get the market survey information, and database management system that helps to take better decision.
