1.0 First aid in universities – How to make a difference

At present, it is alarming that the rate of accidents is increasing day by day including universities accidents. For this reason, health and safety planning is important for universities. According to Health and Safety Laboratory report, 97% of respondents said that students have health and safety risks and it should be considered as an important issue. Another survey represented that 73% of students want first aids for their accident treatments. In addition, St John Ambulance mentioned that 94% of teachers said that first aid lessons in university would help teach young people to be more responsible. But 30.2% of teachers told that cost of first aid is the main barrier to launching first aids facility in the universities.

A number of solutions can be provided to remove barriers and launch first aids facility in the universities. Firstly, university stakeholders including teachers and staff can arrange available resources including packages of first aid equipment to teach the students to increase their knowledge about the first aids and use of first aids. Another possible solution can be the online training can be interactive and considered to encourage the students for gaining first aid knowledge. In addition, the universities can arrange for specialist trainers to train the students by offering several courses. Universities can show a better commitment to the safety and health of students.

The nature of accidents and injuries is not similar to all accidents. Therefore, several solutions are recommended to increase the knowledge and skills of staff and students to save the life from accidents and hazards. Therefore, the universities should apply several techniques and solutions to solve the problems related to the faster treatment of injuries.

The recommendation for the universities is to use first aids to increase the knowledge of students and provide faster treatment of injuries. The teachers should gain adequate knowledge to teach the students about the first aid system. The universities’ teachers should collect low-cost first aid tools for providing treatment for the injuries. The government should create a budget for the universities to increase the tools of first aids for the students. Then, the teachers of universities should arrange training facilities for the students to increase their skills and knowledge. Finally, the universities can develop proper planning of health & safety and implement the planning into practical fields.

2.0 Why College Students Should Learn How to Cook

In every college, the students get a quality education from quality teachers with a good-looking campus. College students can gain thinking skills, leadership skills as well as creative skills from their education. According to Levitt (2012), it is also required that the students need to know the process of cooking because this skill leads to a healthy and successful life. Levitt (2012) stated that eating habit is one of the important factors in personal, political as well as the social platform because it improves the quality of life and vitality of societies.

From the scenario, most of the students have left colleges and universities without learning the cooking process. Most of the colleges have arranged some programs related to cooking lessons. But only one recommendation is not effective to learn how to cook. That is why; several learning activities should be imposed by the colleges to increase the skills of cooking.  Therefore, college even university students should know how to cook.

Colleges should increase the awareness of the students to enhance the quality of their lives through better good habits. In addition, Colleges should create a relationship between students’ health and food habits. Then, Colleges should offer cooking lessons & activities that teach students how to cook. After that colleges should ensure the availability of fresh and healthy materials of food on the college campus to teach the students the style of cooking. Colleges should teach the students about food movement in the real world. These programs and lessons will have a great positive impact on the learning of the students “how to cook”. The better process of cooking system helps the students to ensure better health of students. In conclusion, the colleges, as well as universities, have to understand the importance of cooking skills of cooking and provide an adequate learning process to the students for ensuring better quality and healthy life.

3.0 Why schools should teach the curriculum of the future, not the past

The future world will be highly digitalized, robotic, artificial intelligence and automation. At present, people including school students will be faced challenges to increase the skills of problem solving and innovation. The present situation states that the school students are not getting adequate opportunities for the next generation for the future. Therefore, schools should ensure the creative, collaborative and digital problem-solving skills of the students and they must include computer science in the core curriculum. According to Partovi (2018), Computer science helps students to increase their knowledge of computational thinking, interface design, data analysis, machine learning, cybersecurity, networking and robotics.

It has been noticed that the present education system is only connected with reading, writing, math, science, history and foreign languages. But most of the job sectors have started their functions with automation.  Partovi (2018) stated that this curriculum is required to increase the creativity, problem-solving, ethics and collaboration power of school students. Only one recommendation is not suitable for solving the problem. For this reason, schools should arrange several practical curriculums to increase the creative and digital problem-solving skills of the students.

The past education system should be replaced by a digital education system based on the modern world. Then, schools should arrange practical curriculum to ensure a good future career for the students in the future. Additionally, schools should teach the curriculum for the future to the students for making them flexible and connect with a real globalized and challenging world. Already several countries including UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Argentina, Ecuador, Italy, Malaysia, Sweden and Thailand have changed the education system and taking a plan to include computer science in the curriculum. It brings good outcomes for these countries in the near future. The students can improve their creative knowledge and ensure their targeted goals in the real world through achieving the knowledge of the future curriculum.
