There are 5 Types of Teams in business organizations including formal team, informal team, temporary team, permanent, virtual team and others (Leigh and Maynard, 2017).
Formal teams are those that have been created for a special purpose, this means the operations are going to be far more structured and organized because it is usually for is usually on that, has some impotence such as interviewing possible condition for the job position. This type of team focuses on different rules that are strictly followed by the team members. For example, a formal team of Zara is the customer service team, where the team is made to gain the organizational purpose and to deal with the different customer issues. They can’t just do things as they work within a budget, team frames and other restrictions.
Informal teams are those that have developed in a way that is less structured. This usually forms in general discussions but is usually for something less important such as improving one of the ways that the work system operation. For example, a group of people of Zara who would like to play football after work is called an informal team.
Temporary teams are usually set up for a one-off project or possibly even an annual project such as an event, Zara’s temporary team is the production team that is created to conduct a project/work where they want to establish new products for the kid’s section, they usually agree on a plan and usually work together for the project as in splitting after the project is complete. It’s important for teams to make everyone clear about the team’s purpose and allocate clear roles.
Permanent teams are those that work together continuously, this usually means being part of an organization for the majority as these would work together continuously, after while the roles and behavior of the members become established. . For example, police, Fire Crew, and A Cadet Wing. They were primarily responsible for promoting their brand and designing marketing strategies to generate maximum revenue for their organization. They worked extremely hard and always managed to achieve their targets well in advance, but their team was always in place and never dissolved. Their organization never asked them to leave or ever dissolved their team. Such teams are called permanent teams……………..
