Content and Style for The Range of Business Documents (GC01066)

2.1 Agree with the purpose, content, and style for the range of business documents
A business letter is a letter written in a formal language, usually used when writing from one business organization to another, or for correspondence between such organizations and their customers, clients and other external parties (Ashley, 2015). The overall style of the letter will depend on the relationship between the parties concerned. There are many reasons to write a business letter. It could be to request direct information or action from another party, to order supplies from a supplier, to identify a mistake that was committed, to reply directly to a request, to apologize for a wrong or simply to convey goodwill. Even today, the business letter is still very useful because it produces a permanent record, is confidential, formal and delivers persuasive, well-considered messages (Ashley, 2015),

2.2 The learner should provide an assignment on showing good research in relation to the required documents.
Documentation tells the story of a business; its origins, intent, and the journey it’s taking to achieve its ambitions. Contracts serve as a gateway through which the venture can enter new markets and expand its reach; other paperwork validates the current position and provides assurance to the investors and customers. Multinationals in particular face increased scrutiny on a global level, finding that they have little margin for error when it comes to their operations, accountability, and compliance; and so obtaining the correct documents for each jurisdiction in which Burger King operate is crucial, as is the subsequent maintenance of these records (Brugger, 2017).

An easily recognizable document type and format increase a document’s overall coherence and the audience’s ability to use it efficiently. Consequently, most technical documents conform to fairly standard document types that present information in standard formats.
Reports: Aside from the actual data contained within it, a report tells Burger King a lot about the audience for the report and the decisions the business makes based on the information. It also shows Burger King how the data is sorted and whether it can be re-sorted (Brugger, 2017).
Letters: If Burger King needs to understand the various questions Burger King handles and how it responds to them, look at the letters it produces. Look into the customer service area of Burger King, for example. Chances are that it has lots of standard letter templates it uses to interact with customers (Brugger, 2017).
Forms: Forms are very similar to screen layout, only they’re on paper. If a domain subject matter expert states that he fills out a form in the operations, ask for a copy of the form. Some forms even have boxes showing Burger King how many characters Burger King is able to capture, so Burger King has a starting point for capturing data field lengths. The forms may indicate which fields need to be completed and which don’t.
Brochures: Brochures are a great way to understand the products and services Burger King offers its clients. They also tell Burger King a bit about how Burger King sees itself — or how it wants to be seen — in the world (Brugger, 2017).
Official records and up-to-date paperwork projects an excellent image of Burger King – with more than just the relevant regulatory bodies. Opportunities to secure lucrative contracts, subsidies, and various opportunities are inextricably linked to the quality of the documentation. Conversely, something as innocuous as missing a submission deadline for annual financial statements has a disproportionally negative impact on Burger King’s credit rating, its customers, and the wider stakeholder community (Brugger, 2017). The attention of global regulatory bodies is firmly fixed on multinational Burger King and its activities. Increasingly, the public image projected by a multinational Burger King is indicative of its internal governance standards and poor standards are a smoking-gun to regulators. Keeping correct and accurate documentation allows Burger King to present itself in the best light – demonstrating effective global governance procedures…………
