Introduction
Organizational analysis refers to the process of understanding the work environment, business operations, and reviewing business development. The main aims of organizational analysis to find out the challenges and crises of a business, and to find out solutions for overcoming these crises and solutions (Kotler et al. 2014). This paper first outlines the business background, structure, and nature of a business, called Avon, along with its mission and vision, aims, and objectives. Then, this paper conducts customer analysis for Avon. Next, SWOT and PESTLE analyses are done to analyze both the internal and external business environments of Avon. Then, this paper explains the roles and supports of employees and the importance of training and development in Avon. Finally, this paper outlines the roles of line managers and the skills needed to carry out the role.
2.0 Nature of the business
2.1 Business background, structure and nature
Avon is a private company with a large entrepreneurship business. This company is a marketer and production house of beauty products. Avon helps women all over the world to have beauty in their lives. In the terms of Avon the meaning of beauty is providing their consumers the perfect shade of lipstick; help a woman to support her family by offering her a job opportunity; support a woman to have her first mammogram when she needs it. Avon has become one of those companies whose brochures are seen by six million women every 3 weeks. Avon provides its consumers with better quality and creative products at a reasonable price. Avon sells make-up, fragrance, skincare products like ANEW skincare, Skin so soft, moisturizers, skin toners, eye care, bath and body products and also products for men. Avon has also a large collection of accessories, lingerie, jewelry, well-being products, etc. Avon is one of the famous names in beauty industries all over the world (Avon Annual Report, 2017).
2.2 Avon’ vision and mission
Kotler et al. (2014) suggested that vision means the point of their business they want to see themselves in the near future and the mission of a business means the planning of that business through which they will reach that point of their target. Avon’s vision is to be the top retailing company of cosmetics in the health and beauty section of the UK. To make the vision possible, Avon’s mission is to provide standard quality products to its customers at a cost-friendly price with remarkable customer care service and do more promotional works to benefit their business.

2.3 Goals and objectives
The goals and objectives of a business are part of their business planning. Goals and objectives are settled to plan their activities to accomplish their mission of business over a certain period of time (Torrington et al., 2014). Avon (2017) stated that Avon’s goals are to grow its business more and increase its performance to have a greater amount of revenue and profit. The objectives of Avon are given below:
- To increase their market shares in the regional area from 12% to 20% by the end of 2018.
- To increase their collection of products by launching at least 6 more products including products for men by December 2018.
- To achieve 85% satisfied and loyal customers by the end of 2018.
- To increase their worker’s retentiveness by 75% by December 2018.
- To increase 6% sales revenue, 4% gross profit, and 3% net profit by December 2018.

Avon’s main target customers are women. However, Avon also has a collection of products for men and children. Therefore, it is the organization of business to the customer base.
