Introduction

Communication has become a way of life, especially within the business environment. From a manager’s point of view, communication is the key to the success of many objectives and goals set by individuals and upper management. Unfortunately, management at every level is experiencing increased tension and uncertainties from a lack of communication within the workplace. Therefore, the need for new strategies such as listening preparations, which includes the mental, physical, and behavioral aspects required for communicating and listening effectively. Therefore, good communication skills in management are necessary for sufficient technical leadership within any organization.

Company overview

Burger King is one of the largest fast-food chains in the world, with more than $2 billion in annual revenue. Burger King is the second-largest hamburger fast-food chain in the world, trailing only behind McDonald’s. Burger King has over 12,000 restaurants covering all 50 States and 73 different countries. Some of the notable products from Burger King include the Whopper sandwich, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, and fries. Burger King also offers other choices such as salads, breakfast items, and desserts. The first Burger King, called “Insta Burger King” opened in 1954 in a Miami, Florida suburb. About 90% of Burger King Restaurants are independent franchises. The company went public with an Initial Public Offering in 2006. In 2009 Burger King introduced the Whopper Bar which is a division of the restaurant that is more like a bar that serves drinks and also offers Whoppers. Burger King has won several awards including being named one of the top 100 Global Brands by Inter-brand.

Burger King’s slogan is “just the way you like them” and the vision is “we proudly serve the best burgers in the business, plus a variety of real, authentic foods..all freshly prepared..just the way you want it.” Their values are to be fairness, diversity, respect, caring, clear accountabilities, teamwork, high standards, commitment to excellence, celebrating their successes.

Verbal information Verbal information is either face-to-face or public. Communicating face-to-face allows communicators to exchange ideas back and forth freely, while public speaking allows the back and forth exchange of ideas only in certain circumstances, like a classroom setting or during a question and answer session. However, in order to keep information flowing smoothly and clearly between the speaker and the audience, rules have to be negotiated as to when each individual can speak. Verbal information does not just involve speech since written information conveys a specific idea and is a part of verbal information.
Written information

 

Written information has great significance in today’s business world. It is an innovative activity of the mind. Effective written communication is essential for preparing worthy promotional materials for business development. The speech came before writing. Writing is more unique and formal than speech. Effective writing involves careful choice of words, their organization in the correct order in sentence formation as well as the cohesive composition of sentences. In addition, writing is more valid and reliable than speech.
On-screen information Visual management could appear statistics that could provide an improved understanding of the working performance of an organization. On-screen information is a kind of information that requires the detail to be accessible on-screen. This type of data can be an arrangement of graphics, video, animation, text, and sound.
Web-based information Internet information tools save money in a variety of ways. Email, instant messaging, and social networking are all free. There are many different kinds of Internet communications tools, such as email, VoIP, forums, online chat, and social networking among others. Using the latest tools and methods of communicating over the Internet is essential for bringing your business into the modern age of communication and marketing

Purpose of information

Burger King can also sell its products through the website. It can give consumers an alternative choice on the internet. Burger King may promote its products through its website. The function of web-based information is upgrading information, apprising sales advertising, and approaching challenging perceptions towards several numbers of groups on time. It can promote customers through websites across the marketplace where it is operating. It can present information on the website in an attractive form that can draw the attention of visitors. It can establish all modern products on the website. Burger King reveals on-screen communication when they promote their products through advertisements.

The function of on-screen information has to reveal information and figures to a variety and range of viewers across the world.  Written information is frequently measured to make it suitable for complex business messages which contain significant figures and facts. The main purpose of verbal information is to inform the skill of personals to achieve more detail, to inform, to communicate, and to improve business function. While they are stable, written information also allows receivers to receive more time in evaluating the message as well as giving a suitable response.
