More or less every company utilizes technology to do particular activities. The techniques and methods have been changed due to the advancement of technology and it has decreased human factor mistakes due to increased workload and pressure. Advancement in technology in the business field has eliminated the workplace borders and they also enhanced the methods of exchanging information and data in the workplace which aids in making quick decisions in any circumstances. There are some advantages and disadvantages of utilizing the technologies in the workplace. This paper describes the benefits and demerits of utilizing the technologies in the workplace by the workers.

As Coleman (2016) suggested that, based on the theoretical and technological basics of Web 2.0, the applications based on the internet and social media are built and authorize the contents which are user-generated. Web 2.0 and social networks are being utilized by many companies to get connected with their workers. Burg (2013) recommended that there is a broad collection to provide training. The fundamental technologies of training are CD-ROM, DVD, and interactive video systems. Through cloud storage along with desktop folders, users are able to move and drop the file in the cloud storage and the local storage. Nevertheless, some affairs like usability, bandwidth, accessibility, data security, and software issues can be dealt with by the users of cloud storage. Dropbox, Google Drive, and One Drive are three cloud storage.

There are many communication tools that can be used by the workers in interaction or in transferring the data in the workplace. Such as, employees can use text messaging to deliver messages to the other department or they can utilize virtual communication applications like Skype to exchange their projects or take part in decision-making meetings along with other departments of the company. In addition, virtual communication can be also used in customer service to entice customers toward their products.

For the sake of growth and development in business, the workers can utilize different advanced business technologies to invent new concepts and ideas. Employees of many companies are encountered by the technological challenges created by the company and get the reward for inventing the most creative concepts by utilizing those technologies. For promotional works of the business online, workers can utilize the internet technologies in creative ways to entice the customers.
