Introduction

World Bank (2013) discloses that in the current business world China is number one and Bangladesh is number two in exporting ready-made garments in the global marketing mainly in the US and EU. However, the rapid economic growth has increased the labor cost and raw material prices in China, which introduced the “China Plus-One Policy” to foreign direct investors. On the other hand, the rapid development of Bangladesh’s ready-made garments industry has been attracting more foreign direct investors than ever before. However, the current terrorism issues and political instability along with socio-economic problem has made the foreign direct investor concern to investment in the ready-made garments industry of Bangladesh. Thus, the foreign direct investors are now in dilemma on whether the Bangladesh ready-made garments industry is ready to invest in. Therefore, it has been an issue now to conduct research on how Bangladesh’s ready-made garments industry is ready to attract more foreign direct investors.
2.0 Research Aims and objectives
2.1 Aims
The key aim of this study is to assess how Bangladesh’s ready-made garments industry is ready to attract more foreign direct investors. Then, the study will recommend the Bangladesh ready-made garments industry to overcome their limitations. The study will also recommend the foreign direct investors on whether the Bangladesh ready-made garments industry is a suitable sector to invest in.
